Urgent Action Needed

Infant Survival Priority Areas

 1. Premature Delivery
 2. Racial Disparity
 3. Maternal Infection
 4. Pre-pregnancy Health
 5. Unsafe Infant Sleeping

The Infant Mortality Review Team has isolated the five “Urgent Action Needed” infant survival priority areas. A concerted focus on these five priority areas would make a dramatic difference in the health and lives of women and children in Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison & Taylor counties.

These problems— Premature Delivery, Racial Disparity, Poor Pre-pregnancy Health, Maternal Infection & Unsafe
Infant Sleeping--are in urgent need of our attention.  The Healthy Pregnancy Network is implementing changes to address each of these issues. We need the community’s help to expand our efforts and create solutions for Healthier Babies.
