Fetal and Infant Mortality Review |
Once a month, local maternal and child healthcare professionals meet to review and discuss identified case profiles of local infant deaths.
The Infant Mortality Review creates a unique environment where health and social service providers review and reflect upon their agencies' roles in the lives of individual families. With the benefit of hindsight, we can observe the system as it actually functions. This is where problems are found and solutions created!
Dr. A.D. Brickler, Obstetrician, and Thomas Truman, MD, Pediatric Critical Care Physician, are the co-chairs of Healthy Pregnancy Network’s Infant Mortality
Other members of the Team include: FIMR is: A method developed by the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau in partnership with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and endorsed by the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation.
